Narrator: Dr Intzar Hussain Butt,(Lahore)
I still remember those indelible memories of two miraculous operations. An eighty five year old lady from the Valley of Soon Sukaisar in District Khooshab of Panjab who had lost her eyesight for the last 20 years. I visited her. She was living in an orange orchard. She was bilaterally blind. Elderly patients from rural communities usually have considerable difficulty in accepting the word of hope from doctors. The same was with this old lady.
However, the operation was successful. She at expression of gratitude kissed my hands and said,
"I remember the apprehension I felt before the surgery as I feared the worst that could happen, rather than focusing on the best that could happen."
