Rahila was a beautiful, bright and energetic little girl who lost her eyesight at the age of five. With this accidence, the household became melancholy. Since her parents were very poor.
They could not afford the expense of eye surgery. In 2000, we organized a Free Eye Camp. She was then 12. We operated her both eyes and implanted intraocular lenses. Miraculously, the operation was successful.
She could not control her emotions and said,
"I remember the apprehension I felt before the surgery as I feared the worst that could happen, rather than focusing on the best that could happen."
