FREE EYE CAMP BULAWAYO, ZIMBABWE AUGUST 2011

 

Another team of four doctors and a paramedic team left from Islamabad to Nigeria on July 14, 2011. The team is headed by Dr Muhammad Azhar Qazi POB (Prevention of Blindness) Trust.

They participated in a three camps third camp is in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. this 3 days free eye camp started from1st to 3rd August 2011. The other doctors include Dr. Azhar Qazi, Dr. Najeeb shah, Dr. Ghulam Hussain Asif and Dr. Riaz Ahmed. These camps arranged in coordination with FIMA (Federation of International Medical Association).

OPD’s and IOL implantation surgeries are 4019 and 119 respectively.

Zimbabwe ( /zɪmˈbɑːbw/ zim-bahb-we; officially the Republic of Zimbabwe) is a landlocked country located in the southern part of the African continent, between the Zambezi and Limpopo rivers. Bulawayo is the second largest city in Zimbabwe after the capital Harare, with a population in 2009 of 1,500,000.[citation needed] It is located in Matabeleland, 439 km southwest of Harare, and is now treated as a separate provincial area from Matabeleland. The capital of Matabeleland North is now Lupane, as Bulawayo is a stand-alone province.
